Company Story
Northern Pails Oy was founded on these questions:
Why are there no truly multi-purpose products? Why do you have to buy many different products that are only for one specific purpose? Why couldn't one stylish device combine different functions?
- From these thoughts, the idea for ZONE was born in 2016, during a sauna renovation.
Philosophy and Design
We believe that good design is simple, functional, and durable. ZONE combines several functions into one product – without compromising usability or durability. Scandinavian design, durability, and versatility make ZONE unique.
Product Development and Quality
ZONE is based on patented solutions and has been tested in challenging environments, such as numerous different saunas and outdoors in -30 degree Celsius frost in hot tubs. High-quality materials and careful manufacturing ensure that the speaker withstands heat, moisture, and cold.
Internationality and Operations
Product development takes place in Finland, and manufacturing is carried out in cooperation with international partners. This way, we combine Nordic design and global production expertise. ZONE is available internationally through a reseller network.

Founder's background
ZONE is the result of the work of Finnish engineer and product developer Jarno Voutilainen. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and international product development, he has learned how to design products that truly endure – even in the most demanding conditions.
ZONE was not born from compromise, but from the need to create something better. A product that stands the test of time, use, and environments where ordinary solutions fall short.
