When ZONE is used in a sauna, this amount of water acts as a natural heat shield. The water heats up slowly and efficiently absorbs thermal energy, which helps keep the speaker's electronics at a lower temperature compared to the surrounding sauna air. In practice, this means that cold water acts as a thermal buffer, protecting the speaker's components and the battery itself in a hot sauna environment.
Electronics Overheating Protection
In addition to structural thermal protection, ZONE's electronics include overheating protection. If the internal temperature rises too high, the device automatically shuts down to protect the battery. Power automatically returns when the temperature has dropped below 68 degrees. This ensures a long lifespan for ZONE.
ZONE's special heat resistance is thus based on two key solutions:
- Three liters of water above the electronics, which acts as a thermal buffer.
- Electronics overheating protection, which monitors the device's temperature.
Thanks to these solutions, ZONE is exceptionally resistant to sauna temperature conditions.
